The Mandarin Corporation Founders, James Chiu, George Chiu, Diana Chiu and Kuen Chu Chang moved to Ontario in 1979 and purchased a small Chinese restaurant with traditional décor and menu in Brampton, called the Mandarin. Their attention to customer service and food quality soon made the Mandarin so popular that there were long line-ups. To accommodate their customers, in 1986, the founders opted to change to a buffet style of service which encouraged the All-You-Can-Eat concept. In 2024, there are 30 Mandarin Restaurants operating in Ontario and over ten thousand customers are enjoying its Award-Winning Buffet every day.
To better serve its customers’ fast-paced life-style and to satisfy the expanding customer base, Mandarin has developed a quick service restaurant concept called M2GO. M2GO provides a faster and more convenient way to enjoy selected Mandarin signature products along with a line of new noodle dishes.
The first M2GO location opened at York University in Toronto, and the second location opened at Applebyview Plaza in Burlington.
